Harvey H. Nininger was a renowned meteorite researcher and collector who as Curator of Meteorites from 1930 to 1946 made the Colorado Museum of Natural History, now the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, a center of scientific activity in that new field of study. Harvey Harlow Nininger was born in 1887 in a frontier shack near Conway Springs, a town on the prairie southwest of Wichita, Kansas.
